Brief History of HCDP-Ghana
Humanity and Community Development Projects (HCDP-Ghana) was founded in 2009 by Anku Richard Effe with the vision of assisting rural communities in Education, Healthcare and other Community Development Projects such as construction, clinical upgrade and medical assistance. Our basic mission is to serve rural poor and offer them the opportunity to support themselves.
Launching HCDP
At first it was slow, but we pushed ahead, knowing that people would ultimately recognize the factual value of a locally driven volunteer program. After nearly a year in which we hosted few volunteers, word began to move out. Those who come were amazed at the depth of such a short experience, and began to tell friends. With the success stories of each new volunteer, it became clear that this unique approach to volunteering was filling a valuable position. By 2010-2011, we entered into partnership with other volunteer driven organization abroad which also helped HCDP by communicating our mission and objectives to volunteers who wanted to come visit Ghana, the land of gold and peace.
HCDP Today
Today, HCDP can account hosting about 34 volunteers, educated 362 rural community students in ICT knowledge and donated to locally built orphanage homes as well as some schools, and these has made us very proud. We would like to use this opportunity to say a very big thank you to all our donors for their wonderful support to assist deprived communities. However, as the partner organization in Ghana, we promise to offer our best in boosting projects and making it work to all.
